You Know You Want To Eat...

... You know you want to eat whatever you want to eat, but, seriously.. why can't whole wheat bread taste like Lays Potato chips?? I think someone is playing a terrible joke on us by making pretty much everything healthy taste like cardboard!
I LOVE food... ALL FOOD...except for the ones that taste like hampster shavings:) I am going on vacation..A VERY MUCH NEDDED VACATION...to the Bahamas with my friend Cat and who ever wants to jump on The "Bahama Mama Tour" on August 23rd but here is my dilemma... I am ok with the weight I am but I just want to be ..More..FIRM:) Who doesn't want to be more FIRM!?
I have three more weeks to snap it all into shape! I started my "Food Portioning & Herbal suppliment" routine a week ago and LOST 5 POUNDS already so I am well on my way to fimer and flatter, however, I am not enjoying the whole process. I am losing water weight for sure and everything is already looser but still need to tone!
I am doing great at sticking to the plan..except for Michelle & Shawns pool party... had a little slip there lol! I had no trouble staying within the portion part but added a few other food groups like.. sugar, salt, grease and beer..My bad:(
If I can get to my target weight..which would be 14 pounds less then I started, then I indeed will be able to say good things about eating like a rabbit..but, until then ...please don't let me come back as a rabbit in my next life!!!

So Many Emotions...Can't Sleep:(

You know you want to be able to just simply understand why some things are the way they are without holding any emotion.

I am struggling with so many emotions tonight...well...actually for some time now but in all reality...I know it's futile to keep running around in my head for answers to questions I will most likely never be able to answer.
My stomach is in knots and I'm feeling so much sorrow for so many people, both close to my heart and those not close at all, however, all have found a place in my mind, in my chest. ..in my soul.
I think I could write a novel for each emotion I am struggling with ...this is not an option considering how late it is so, I will stick with sorrow for this evening and hopefully relieve some of the heaviness in my heart.

My very kind and beautiful friend just lost her Mom way too soon. I am humbled by my friends strength and courage throughout her Mom's illness and passing. I can't help but feel tightening in my own chest as I think of my Mother and her current battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I LOVE YOU MOM!

My childhood friend from Sudbury will lose her Grandfather very soon. This funny and lovable man of whom I fondly refer to myself as "Poppa Christink" saved my life.
I was the main focus of a RATTLE SNAKE up North and Poppa dove to my rescue and picked it up with a long stick, slug it several yards away and yelled for My friend and I to get into the trailer. I lost my grandparents many, many years ago so Poppa Christink, to me, was MY Poppa. Thanks to the Christinks for letting me share him..he will be holding Nanna's hand soon. This thought makes my heavy heart feel a bit lighter.
I have not visited with him in many years and I feel terrible that I will not be able to hold his hand and tell him how much I appreciate all of the wonderful memories he has left me with. I LOVE YOU POPPA!

Laura Ling & Euna Lee, two courageous and brave Journalists have been sentenced to 12years each in North Korean Labour camps for nothing but trying to feed the world with knowledge.
Laura Ling, sister of The Views retired LISA LING, has a husband and a four year old daughter waiting for her to come home! I have little knowledge of Euna Lee's family status, however, I do know her loved ones are in turmoil as well knowing that our world, made up of segregated governments, has given power to such horrible and barbaric leaders and now we as a nation must adhere to the policy's of such leaders.
Get those women out of there!! If there are no safety measures in place for foreign visitors in Korea..DON'T LET PEOPLE TRAVEL TO KOREA!!!
OK ..I get the whole "JOB" thing and I even get that people feel the need to go the distance, but, WHY in Heavens name, would you go freely into a country that has already deployed nuclear weapons tests both above and under ground completely ignoring their agreement with the Northern Atlantic Treaty Organization & The United Nations!!!???
Why risk your life for a country that obviously feels no regard for YOUR life?? My prayers are with the families of both of these women and I see no peaceful solution. :(

I believe they have found and recovered wreckage and bodies from the Air France accident today. I hope answers and peace come quickly for those who have lost loved ones in this horrible event. My husband has flown Air France several times so it hits close to home knowing how sudden tragedy can strike.

Death comes so quickly for some, yet, so slowly for others. We all deal with loss of a loved one in different ways, however, being left behind to remember the gifts they have provided indeed should be looked upon as a wondrous thing.

Free Stuff:)

You know you want to get stuff for free! I certainly do! I've joined this great site called Bzz Agent (thanks to my friend Brittany for sending me the invite) and basically it is a site that you register as a member and you get to participate in really great offers!
Brittany got a case of yogurt covered treats for toddlers from Beechnut along with some banana flavoured crackers and other treats to try out with her 2 year old daughter Lily:) Since Lily is my son Jack GIRLFRIEND it is only natural for them to share everything lol! I am grateful for this since Jack LOVED the yogurt covered treats and now I buy them for him all the time!
Had I not been exposed to them in this manner, I honestly could say, that I never would have bought this product. The packaging is bland and the product didn't look very appealing so it's not typically the kind of treat I'd purchase for Jack. I know That sounds kind of silly, but, if I use a certain brand I usually stick to that brand and Beechnut had never interested my enough in the past so why bother with it.
Thanks to Bzz Agent, I now have a great new healthy snack for Jack to enjoy, I get the play great games on the GameHouse web site and now, just yesterday, I've been offered the chance to participate in a campaign for Canadian Pork:) My "package" is in the mail and I believe it will include coupons of some sort and awesome recipes to try out!
I can't wait to get started! There is a link at the bottom of my page if you would like to join:) Go...do it right now!!! You know you want to! :)

Mother's Day?

You know you want to throw a temper tantrum when things don't go as planned...but you just can't! Adults are not allowed to throw tantrums right? Someone please let me know if this rule changes in the near future!
Last night was supposed to be my substitute Mother's Day Dinner and Drive-In soiree...however, due to the massive amount of rain and Mr.Wonderful's headache..we did neither:( I was disappointed at first but then realizing how muggy it would be in the jeep..and the mosquito's that attack after a good rain, I was less interested in going to the drive in!
Mr.Wonderful kindly offered to watch Jack so I could do whatever my little heart desired so, Tara and I hit the casino...not a great plan! Bye, bye money lol! We had a great time watching EVERYONE around us win but, we were not the lucky ones on this trip! Oh well...can't win every time right?
I bumped into a few friends and made some new ones since I really do talk to just about everyone who enters my arms length perimeter lol! I was home by 10:30 and both my men were asleep soundly so I spent the rest of the night with Melinda on Ghost Whisperers and my wine gums:) YUM!!
This morning, Teen Aged Daughter came home( Her sleep over at her friends went well)..Mr.Wonderful took Jack with him to Hamilton for a few hours so I could rest and now Beautiful Daughter & I are waiting for her friend to arrive so we can go get subs.
I am entertaining some wonderful ladies this evening with a night of Texas Hold'em so I must remember to pick up some snacks...other than that, the day is all mine:) As for this whole Mother's Day thing...I think they should call it Mother's couple of hours...since every year..my DAY turns into a few hours of me time with me taking care of everyone else the rest of the time:)
I sent my mom and my mother in law FTD Bouquet's since they live so far away but I hope they know those bouquet's are filled with hugs and kisses:) LOVE YOU MOM'S!! XO

Sunshine & Happiness

You know you want to get outside and enjoy this beautiful sun-shiny day!! I'm so glad it's nice out today! I'm honestly getting sick of being cooped up in this house! My friend Jen is coming over and we are going to walk down the street for lunch:) It's only a five minute walk to this nice little German Bar/Restaurant so you can imagine how amazing their Schnitzel Dinner is!
After we get back, I am planning on hanging up the folded laundry that has accumulated in the six baskets on my bedroom floor...planning on does not mean I will actually do it though lol! Procrastination and I have become great friends since my hand injury!
I think I will possibly have an amazing bubble bath and order in Chinese food instead since my husband does not cook. Tonight will be my Special Mother's Day dinner instead of celebrating on Sunday since everyone around here always has plans ....I have to take what I can get lol & then Mr.Wonderful is taking me & Baby Jack to the Drive-In:)
Miss Rebecca has plans so she's leaving after dinner:( She is growing up too fast man! I never see her these days.
Yesterday was a great day...well that was until my new purse handle came apart..the very first time I used it:( Tara came to get us and we went to a great Thai place in Waterloo...well I shouldn't say GREAT, but, OK... the cashew shrimp & vegetables I ordered to share with Jack was not supposed to be spicy but it was super hot so Jack couldn't have anything but rice poor guy:( He seemed happy once I let him play with the chop sticks and gave him some cheerio's from his D-Bag but it was hard to say no to giving him some of my food!
We took him to Cookie Cutters in Waterloo for a hair cut and he was such a good boy! He sat nice and still all by himself! I love that place! They really do a great job with kids! My little man looks so much older today!
I went to the dentist and got my teeth cleaned and then met up with Lisa & Family for her 30th birthday dinner at King's Buffet...strike 2..the food sucked there! It was all dried out and barely luke warm so I stuck with sushi:) We all went back to her place for pistachio cake YUM and then I finally got home around 10pm.
Everyone here was sleeping so I was happy to have some down time:) Jack slept through the night and woke up with a smile at 7am! YAY I FINALLY FEEL RESTED!!

My Weekend In The Falls

You know you want to know how my weekend in the falls went...and some of you may have already asked. I will simply say that I had an absolutely fantastic DRAMA FREE weekend with some fantastic friends and I think I will be spending more time with this group:)

There are all different kinds of friends that come in and out of our lives and I thank heavens for this particular group:)

There are so many friend categories....the friends you have had for ever and keep in touch with EVERY DAY, the friends you see once in a while and have fairly regular contact with, the friends you never see but still keep in touch with on Face book or through emails...and then there are the great friends you seldom see .. speak to next to never ...BUT, when you are together it is like you have never missed a beat:)

Everything makes you laugh, tons of hugs, memories shared from past adventures and most of all catching up on all of the lost time:) No wonder we didn't leave the Motel until after 11PM!!! :) How lucky I am to know that these friends will always be a phone call away!

Niagara falls, a bunch of really fun ladies, Shopping in Buffalo, a Barbie named Bar-B,Three $69 motel rooms, My Make-Up & Michelle's Flat Iron, about 40 different outfits to choose from, Two night clubs, 2 Fast Food Places, The LCBO, a fake birthday surprise at The Red Robin (LOL Tara!!), The Casino, Mardi gras Beads & FREE Shooters, A European cab driver with a lead foot and... A Police Cruiser..lol...it was definitely one weekend we will all remember for a very long time:)

We all had a touch of "Disco Barbie Flu" the next morning LOL!! I was feeling pretty good after an Advil and a chewable Pepto Pill...considering we were up until 5AM I think I lucked out, but, many of the other ladies struggled through the afternoon baby shower we attended outside that day.

I am indeed a better person in mind, body and soul after spending some quality time with these true friends ...these Forever Friends:)
